The Tests
Over the years we have made these projects many tests have come, gone or merged but here is the list of all the tests we have ever done even the ones in the collective test videos (Asha V5 and V6 most notably).
The Current Tests
Drop
The Drop has been the launch test in 3 of the 4 series featuring a average height drop and a stupid drop. The first ever drop video was the 3rd in the Asha Project and started the slo-motion cuts in our videos (who can forget the ear pearcing "and dropping" from that video) which have become much more stylish, got straight to the point and now don't kill your ears. The drop also pioneered Multi Cam Destruction a feature that featured in almost all of the 4th series. The Drop is probably the pioneer when it comes to destruction projects and is highly likely to stay as a regular.
Window Drop
The Window Drop first came into the projects in "one step further" and was going to be the headline video if we decided to do multiple episodes but instead became a cool section of the series and has been the second video in 3 of the 4 series. In series 4 (10:10)the video was clearly the best version of this particular video and could potentially be the best video we have made up to this point.
Knife It
Even thought this is a extremely simple test the boys we actually suggested to do this in Series 2 but forgot to do it so they integrated it into series 3 and it didn't really do anything but did offer a inside into how easily the phones shell scratches. however even though it was a insightful test it then left in out is series 4 however when series 5 is reinstated it will return again.
Sprint Test
To celebrate their 5th destruction project the boys decided to introduce two new tests the first of which is The sprint test which consists of one of them having the phone strapped to the bottom of their shoe and them running a short distance with it attached a short distance with it attached. the boys hoped that this would scratch the screen and / Or the back of the phone but also test the phones rigidity as it would have the weight of either Charlie or Alex on the to of it.
Phone Football
Phone Football kicked of V6 of the Asha Destruction and has been a regular ever since then now incorporating a multi cam set up and offering some of the biggest lol moments this is a very important test.
Throwing It Against A Wall
In Series 2 the boys quickly discovered that phone basketball was only a excellent test if it smacked the wall prompting the creation to Throwing it against the wall however it got integrated into phone basketball by series 3 removing it temporarily from the projects. In Series 4 the boys forgot the concept of phone basketball whilst creating that video leading to it really being "throwing it against a wall". Charlie decided that enough was enough and from series 5 he would scrap phone basketball and replace it with throwing it against a wall
Brick Drop
In the first ever Brick Smash the boys actually dropped a brick on the phone however in the 2nd brick smash it actually became a drop followed by a hit which killed every phone it tucked and it did this until the 4th brick smash but in Series 5 the boys decided to return to the original method but rename it to the brick drop as a hammer test was introduced which would serve a very similar purpose as the smash segment in the brick smash but because the brick smash was such a loved test the boys reverted back to the original method keeping in the worlds two most lethal bricks in use.
Heat Test
To celebrate their 5th destruction project the boys decided to introduce two new tests the second of which is The Heat Test which consists of the phone being placed approximately 7.5" away from a fan heater. The boys hope this shows how heat resistive the phone is over a period of time.
Tipping Water On It
First introduced in series 2 this test is designed to test the phones waterproofing but unlike the sink it shoes how much instant force it can take and how in copes after a few seconds of pain. This test was dropped in Series 4 but will return in Series 5.
The Loo & The Sink
The Loo started the entire destruction program offering humour and a realistic water test. The Sink has started a video series and come extremely close to killing the 108 and the 10:10 meaning that this test isn't just comedy but in fact a realistic test. The Loo is probably the stupidest video we make but it does add some comedy to the series however as the toilet is constantly used and has chemicals so it has extra things that can destroy the phone however every time the boys have gone to do this test they always flush and Alex thinks that the toilet should be full of Poo and Wee but never has been and he things it would be hysterical if it did but nevertheless the original Asha video of the month is still one of our finest. On the eve of the recording of DP5 the boys decided to merge these two tests together to create The Loo & The Sink.
The Hammer Smash
Introduced in Series 5 the hammer smash was designed to replace the brick smash and keep the deadly effect going but in a much more professional manner than could ever be completed with the brick smash.
Total Destruction
So your phone is dead and no longer serves any suppose so what do you do, obliterate it. Total destruction consists of snapping the phone in half and then ripping it to many parts. The first total destruction ripped the Asha apart in a test we called the bending machine which is what it was renamed to in the 3310 and the 108 but in 10:10 it reverted back to to total destruction as it wasn't just a bending machine it was also ripping and bending and has been the end of the tests in all 4 products.

The most lethal test the boys have every done killing every phone it touched when the drop followed by a hit method was used from series 2 until series 4 (Kills: Nokia 33310, Nokia 108 & Alcatel OneTouch 10:10)

Liquid Grit
The liquid grit concluded one step further and killed the Asha however it takes a while to form and take a while to set up so we cut the instant death solution from our destruction plan however the boys said if the phone still has life left in it when every other method they can do has been tried then it will return.
The Whack
In one step beyond the boys got a metal garden flower stick and whacked the Asha with this however it served no purpose and was cut from the plan.
Grass Rub
The idea to get grass and mud into the phones internal works in theory but in practice doesn't do anything forcing its cut from the projects.
Stone Drop
The stone drop worked like the brick smash however as as it has a rough surface area it doesn't work as well but if you do need to use something other than a brick it is a great alternative but in our videos it works better if we use a brick.
Stone Throw Shooting Range
The stone throw shooting range in theory could be great but the accuracy needed to achieve this Charlie and Alex don't have rendering the test pointless.
Walking Drop Test
The walking drop test is a high speed version of the drop and gives a interesting take on the drop however is very difficult to capture with our equipment removing it from our plan currently
Bicycle Test
The bicycle test is essentially riding over the phone however it doesn't really do anything so it is removed from the destruction plan.
